Lost Nowhere

Posted: April 30, 2012 in Uncategorized

Eternal maze one path leading..

No.. maybe…. wait….

Guideless

Alone

Actor delivering final lines

Bare stage abandoned theatre

Blackened – lone spotlight

Voice echoes back from vast emptiness

Tears descending weathered face

Dragging, smearing make-up on their way

Curtain replicates tears

Silent ovation

Steps out now shunned

Rain

Perpetual rhythm

Dreary – yet colors grow vivid

Gloom magnifying loneliness

Comfort ripped

Previous world lies shattered

Pieces so numerous

Impossible to place

Immersed in darkness

Light of eyes creeping in?

Is it….?

Illusion or mirage?

No

Simply a dream

Again

Crushed

Dark places create dark spaces that allow gems like this to come forth. Pour it into the poetry until the cup overflows. Encore!

  2. brian miller says:

dreams crushed…ack thats no fun, the curtain coming down and all the pieces strewn about…but in one ending comes another beginning…i feel you in this though

  3. kelly says:

i really love the style/form you used… it creates the perfect atmosphere. Lots of great lines, love that first one especially!

  4. Good description of those dark moments in life…the title fits well.

  5. clawfish says:

Full of vision and great lines encapsulating all darkness around

  6. Very vividly sad. A staccato rhythm to it that adds to the dark feel. Nicely done!

ah that hurts…simply a dream again crushed…tight and vivid emotions and great use of the theatre images as well..

  8. Chazinator says:

The fragmented quality of the verses and the way you shape the poem to fit the mood and impression are very effective. At times it seems like a dream within a dream, the actors shadows though they may be real.
